Itinerary
Expand allDay 1: Marrakech – Aguersioual – Tizi Oussem 1,850 m
Travel through the Haouz plain, Asni and the Moulay Brahim gorge. Meet the guide and mules at Aguersioual, 3 km before Imlil. Climb Tizi Oudite at 2,200 m, enjoy views over the Azaden Valley and continue through juniper forest to Tizi Oussem. Approximately 1.5 hours by car and 4.5 hours walking. Overnight at a guesthouse.
Day 2: Tizi Oussem – Aremd 1,900 m
Climb and follow a side trail through old juniper forest to Tizi Mzik at 2,489 m, above Imlil. Descend to Aremd, the highest village in the valley, built on a glacial moraine. Free afternoon. Approximately 5 hours walking. Overnight at a guesthouse.
Day 3: Aremd – Tizi n Tamaterte – Ikkis – Aguersioual – Marrakech
Reach Tizi n Tamaterte at 2,279 m for views of Toubkal, Oukaimeden and the Imnanen Valley. Return towards Imlil for a picnic, with the option to extend the walk to Ikkis, then return through Aguersioual. Approximately 8 hours.
